32 Weeks prego. .. Do I need to get an unfill if having a C Section

I am 32 weeks pregnant with Baby Boy number 3 and have only gained 8 pounds because I have not got unfilled and have stayed active :) I was told since I was having a c section I should have an unfill... then i was told if i have no complications there is no reason to get unfill... which is true? Had anybody Had a c section and not had an unfill. Thanks in advance

ruthie:

have you had any surgery with your lapband?

My suggestion would be to get a complete unfill because when they put in your IV and pump you up full of fluids for the surgery you will retain Water everywhere, including where your lapband is implanted.

Talk to your lapband doctor they know best.

I can't comment on the C Section as when I had mine I wasn't banded. I did however have a hysterectomy 2 years ago and didn't get unfilled for that. i didn't have any issues.

I am having a c- section tomorrow (apr 26). I have not been instructed to have a full defill. Good luck

I've never had a c/s so Im not quite sure of the answer. Your best bet is to ask your surgeon and talk with your OB.

Good luck!

Your surgeon knows best! I would schedule a consult! Good luck :)
