well its under the longest incision which is pretty much right in the middle over my stomach so I would have thought it would be the band as opposed to a port, but who knows! basically i was laying on my back and i can feel something hard under the biggest incision just running my hand over it. Maybe it is the port though. I've put in an email to my coordinator at the doctors but just wanted to see if anyone else had something like it!

my understanding is that our stomach's and our bands are on the left and our ports are slightly to the right of out belly buttons,,i wouldnt stress too much tho, cuz until all the swelling goes down properly things will be pushed to the surface ,, and things that should be hard will be,, i freaked out a week post op cuz the whole right side of my belly was sort hard to touch and i freaked out thinking i had internal bruising or something,, but nope jumped on here and was told that its normal,, its just the swelling and your body adjusting,,

6.8 kilos since surgery is awesome! Overdoing your exercise? How do you mean? I've been doing 2 miles a day for the past 4 days at 15 minute miles on an elliptical runner. Is that too much - my over zealous desire to be skinny in the time it takes to blink may cloud my judgment on such matters!

I'm so jealous you get a fill - They put a tiny amount in my band at surgery but i'm still only satisfied for about 1.5 hours each time I eat so I look forward to the fuller feeling!

Hi all!

I was banded on 10/11/12' date=' so I'm still on clears. I'm feeling good but having a hard time getting any Protein in. The shakes make me nauseated and I haven't found anything I can stomach for protein yet. (I only got down about 10 gm yesterday and I know that's nowhere near what I need.) I've ordered the Unjury stuff cause I hear it's *pretty good*.

Happy to be here! Can't wait for mushies....[/quote']

You will love it.

I got banded today. I was really shocked that the procedure didn't take long. Right now I am on Clear Liquids but I don't feel really hungry. I have lost 10 pounds so far. I was wondering how soon can I start exercising, I know I can walk but is it okay for me to walk a mile or two?

DON'T TOUCH THE scale THIS WEEK! I've heard that it's totally normal to gain a little right after.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
