I wouldn't try the exercise bike unless you contact your doctor. Might pull on the lower adomen where they installed the port.

Please call your doctors office first. Just light walks outside and often would be good. Or around the block if you feel up to it. Maybe a family member can walk with you. My gas was overnight only because of all the walking I did do and the heating pad that I used during the day.

Best wishes

Thanks again Roja! I will ask my Dr first before getting on bike. My gas is not all that bad, considering what I've heard from others.

My Dr placed my port right under my left rib cage . I was surprised, I thought it was placed near belly button. I think it might work out b/c as I lose weight the port will just blend into my ribs. Hoping anyway?!lol

Mine is on the right side at my ribs. I broke 2 ribs 21 months ago while I was preggers with my 4th. Man what that a pain in my musical cheeks!

I was worried it was going to hurt like the break but it hasn't. I can feel it, but it's not bad.

Did the baby break your ribs?? If so, how big was the baby?

No, the baby didn't do it. Although I've heard of that. I'm 5 8. They don't even kick into my ribs. I got a bad cold with a horrible cough. I broke my ribs from coughing! It was the craziest thing! My OB/GYN is a close friend and he sent me in for a specialized X Ray. I knew it was bad when he called right away.

He said a contributing factor was the hormone we (pregnant women) put off during our pregnancies to relax and soften our bones, called "RELAXIN".

They didn't heal until the end of my pregnancy. I got to suffer from January of 2011 to June 2, 2011. It was "fantastic!"

;)

How are you feeling? I had my first fill yesterday it was 3cc's. I'm another step closer to the "green zone!"

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
