Stay On The Path!!

Recommended Posts

Not to get anyone upset but lately I have been noticing negative postings on how the lap band has failed so many people or people are not getting and seeing the results.

And I understand that this website has been designed to place both positive and negatives venues.

But I caution you to be a little more senstive to the person that considering giving up because you have choose to walk away.

its Ironic but Negative follows Faster then Postive Attitudes.

I urge Someone today who wants to give up to stay on the Path and Dont Give Up Never.

If you dont see results then try something else, but keep trying!!

And One day when you get it right, then you will be glad that you did!!

What Works for Someone Else May Not Work For You!!

God has made each and Everyone Fearfully, and Wonderfully Marvelous, In Their Own Way!!

Love Each of You!!

Hope I didnt Offend Anyone!!!

Good post!

I havent noticed too much negativity on this site.

I try to stay away from the other wls boards because there is a lot of band bashing going on. Usually from the same few people.

I will be banded on the 19th and am looking forward to starting my new healthier life.

I feel a lot of people bash lap bands because they don't put forth the effort or hard work. It's a lifestyle change. You don't just get banded and miraculously the weight falls off. You have to watch what you eat and exercise. Some people feel its failed them because they are eating like they were and they now have the band and the weight is not coming off. Watch your calories, journal what you eat. It's a great tool to help you along with the band.

There are fanatics on both side- good and bad. I choose to be realistic. I have developed what works for me and I can and will stick with it.

Each person has to find their own way and hopefully I can support them in some way.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
