Does she color you root to tip out just your roots? Just curious since your ends are breaking. I'll assume just you're roots since you generally don't.double process unless you're reprocessing an under processed bleach job :)

Randi I'm assuming she just does my roots, she foils it. She thinks it's my diet. Thank you all so much for the info. Can't wait to get the products in hand to get started on my hair restoration...:)

Biotin is great- I take 2 500 mg capsules a day- one in the morning and one at lunch. They're about the size of a tic-tac. It's really been helping me- I had my hair break off and be crazy too, never any hair issues ever, it freaked me out! I do know that anesthesia wreaks havoc sometimes.

It has also really helped my nails as well!

I use coconut oil on my hair. But the one major thing I've found is if I dont get enough Protein on a regular basis, my hair falls out-BAD!

well my hair isn't falling out so I really don't think it's a Protein issue. I do have a hard time getting my Water intake in, in a days time so maybe I'm a bit dehydrated every day. the ends of my hair are brittle, dry and breaking off, it looks fried and frizzy. I just got my hair colored/cut/styled Saturday and my stylist was shocked at the condition and the only thing she could think of was my diet change and to take Biotin. I just ordered the Paul Mitchell Strength and protectant spray from Sleekhair.com its cheaper there. I'm sure I could have gone to Walmart salon and checked to see if they carried the products but sometimes they don't carry all of the products you need, their hair products are cheaper too. The girl that does my hair at my salon carries "It's a 10" products and the other 2 girls carry something else to sell. Wish I could take this pic of me on here and bottle it up as my hair is healthy here and my sides are longer, she has had to cut my sides shorter and it looks horrible trying to cut away the damaged part. Here I come Biotin!!!

thanks Sarah, I certainly didn't expect surgery to take its toll on my hair this bad, whew. Its frizzy sometimes. I do have the Its a 10 Serum but have not used it. The orange cap item you are talking about is that the deep conditioner that you rinse out?

Yes it is..when I put it in my hair I also put on a shower cap so it soaks in and the heat from the Water opens the folicals..I leave it on for ant 5-7 mins...if u have a day that u have nothing to do..wash ur hair put the deep conditon on with a cap and just hang out in ur house all day or sleep with it in..once a week I sleep with my deep condition...also do u wash ur hair e everyday?..since ur hair has been chemically procssed I would go to every other day..and get some dry shampoo..big sexy hair makes a great one so does KMS...even the sauve one is good I just don't like the smell of it

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
