My New Puppy

Recommended Posts

Okay, so this is very much off topic lol, but I just had to post a picture of my new puppy, Bailey. He's a Maltese x Shih Tzu and is oh so sweet! All he wants to do is cuddle at the moment :)

How precious!! I love dogs and I'm glad you posted Bailey's pic. :clap2:

Something tells me those toys won't stay behind him for very long. :)

Good luck with the little fur ball. :biggrin1:

Jess, I do not believe that that is a real dog and not a stuffed toy. I want to put him in my pocket and eat him with spoon!

Jess,

OMG - when I looked at your puppy's pic, my mouth dropped. I had one just like that - ShihTzu/Maltese mix. I loved that doggie. She even had her own cloth babydoll collection. Bringing up too many memories.... your new baby is adorable!

Pat, LMBO - Id like to have your dog as a watch dog. Bet he'd be better then any security system!!! ...beautiful eyes he has (yikes).

Hi Jess,

Your new puppy is adorable. My brother recently got a Shih Tzu/ Laso Apso mix with a touch of Maltese. He looks really similar to yours but all black with tan feet. He is adorable too and so soft. Funny enough my Welsh Corgi is named Baylee. Cute pup... Pat seriously I think that pic of your puppy has been altered or something??? LOL.

YA Think, LOL!

Jess, I think that is truly one of the cutest puppies I've ever seen. I'm not really a "pet" person, (just one more thing to clean up after, LOL), but that one could almost tempt me.

I think when my sons were younger and they had their various "pets", one of my least favorite was my older son's boa. He was over 6' long. He use to get out of his cage and I'd hear this thump on my ceiling. I'd call upstairs and tell my son, that *#@# snake is out again.

Pat,

I could agree with you there. My best friend had a 14 foot python that worked better than a watchdog. I'll never forget going over to her house to shower and get ready to go party. She was due to get off work and was going to meet me at her house (I had a key she had given me) I was standing in her studio talking on the phone and the next thing I know I have a massive snake attached to my side and it won't let go!!! OUCH!!! I finally shake it off, am bleeding all over and zip down to the doctor's office. Didn't need any stitches or anything but I have been traumatized from pythons ever since and probably would never own any snake at all. That snake was too big to keep in any cage (short of a zoo) and chased me out of the house at least a couple of times. It loved my friend but nobody else and it especially hated men. My friend had to get rid of it eventually because all her potential boyfriends were terrified of it.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
