  • Hi Everyone... went back to work yesterday (desk job) after being banded on Friday 10/12. Surgical sites didn't bother me much the first few days but by Monday, the gas began to give me some shoulder

Hola Familia! Is anyone a fan of MyFitnessPal??? I downloaded the app on my phone, so far I find it really helpful. And I like the fact you can also go online to the actual website also. My Myfitnesspal name is Steffy723 (of course, lol) if anyone would like to be friends with me, I'm lonely and could use a friend lol :D

I love mfp. It also links with my pedometer.

It took 2weeks after I started to eat mushies for me to start losing again.

Did you gain when you started mushies? Were you working out when you started?

Yes I gained 2 lbs but they told me that was expected and it would take a couple weeks for my body to adjust and they were right.

I was wondering what was happening to me, I gained a couple pounds too on mushies, I'm gonna start working out to get them back off

Same happened to me. I am stuck at 17 lbs lost for a week now. Just got home from a two hour gym session. 664 Calories burned.

It will take about 2 weeks of a stand still. Then you will start losing again. I have lost every day since. I try to eat 1000-1100 calories a day.

Im itching to get to the gym, not allowed until I'm 4 weeks so I have been walking. I too am at a standstill so I am hoping getting to the gym after next week will help kick that in the butt.

Coleeb. I was so Happy to get in the gym. I rotate the Elliptical, Treadmill, Stair climbers, Dumbbell Lifts and various other arm and leg strengthening machines. I always feel great afterwards.

Oh Im jealous LOL, and I love Zumba so Im hoping to start that then eek maybe a spin class

It is normal to not lose while you are eating. Also, if you are taking in 1200 cal a day and not exercising, you may not lose either. Talk to your NUT about calorie intake. I was so focused on that at first and she kepttelling me to quit that because I was eating just to get the protein and calories in. Once I quit that and only ate when hungry, not head hungry, the weight really started to fall off. I still eat two meals (3 oz protein and 1/2 c veggies/god carb) nd a snack each day for about 500-600 calories and I exercise at least n hour a day. You have to work with you NUT because all of us lose differently. They will help to find what works best for you. I have had one fill, over 10 months out and down 131 pounds.

I love Zumba too! They don't have classes here but I am thinking about buying the videos. :)

Anyone interested in running/walking a 10k virtually?

Check out my thread. I need the motivation!
