  • Hi Everyone... went back to work yesterday (desk job) after being banded on Friday 10/12. Surgical sites didn't bother me much the first few days but by Monday, the gas began to give me some shoulder

My bruising is starting to fade now' date=' incisions were really red and itchy after surgery. When I called the dr they said I was probably allergic to the glue. Still have red now and had to take another course of antibiotics. I have a stitch sticking out of one incision that was supposed to be an inside stitch. I go for my first post-op on monday so hopefully they will get rid of it. I tried pulling it but its stuck, lol.[/quote']

Gross! HA! I should hope that it's stuck. Can you imagine pulling it and your legs fall off!?

Lol now that would be hilarious. I showed my kids and my daughter was like eewww don't do that. She thought it would open and then you could see my insides, lol

I was banded on the 29th. I have a incredible amount of energy! I have been reading on here how a lot of people have little to no energy. I am not complaining about my energy boost or anything just curious how normal it is?

Honestly, Nothing other than what Dr. Told me to do. I am on clear liquids. I have been having a hard time getting protein down. Maybe its all in my head...lol...Guess I am excited to get moving around!

Hey Yall. Had surgery October 29th. Wondering how much bruising is normal?

I just had bruising around each incision. Very minimal.

Banded on 10/6, I have lost 25 lbs so far.... However I am now starting to get really hungry. I am eating what I was told would be ok but it is no longer filling. :-( I go in on the 12 so hopefully I will get a fill. Wish me luck!

Your doing a great job. I am 11 pounds down too. I was band on 10/25. Aren't you happy? What's your current weight? Goal weight? How tall are you?

Congrats and welcome to all of you October bandsters! Follow your doctor's post op diet, they are all different! Drink slow, but often and stay hydrated! Rest a lot and walk a lot. You may be tired for up to six weeks. Don't do strenuous exercise until your doctor clears you. Welcome to the losers club!

I was banded on 10/24 and didn't ask my doctor if he filled my band. I have an appointment on 11/12, so I will ask him then. My concern is that whenever I eat (most times), I get full after eating like 1/2 c and then I usually get really really sleepy. In addition, I am so uncomfortable, like I am stuffed and just need to lie down. Sometimes I have pain on the left side under my left breast too. Does anyone else experience these issues?
