Ha my 4th fill 6 days ago and was banded May 16th!!!Finally I have some restriction!!!! I have 6.4 cc in a 11cc band. Now I wanna say I can eat what I usually eat(lapband diet foods) with ease...my issu is I am really not ever hungry though..Is it good to eat even though your not hungry??I do it to get my nourishment and I dnt eat very much at all.I also log my food on myfitnesspal too.Just to keep up with what Im eating.I barely get 600 cals a day.So is this considered the ''Green Zone"?

It sounds like you are at risk of putting your body into starvation mode. You should get in about 1000 calories per day and 50-60 grams of Protein. Your metabolism will actually slow down by taking in too few calories and you need the nutrients and protein.

I spent quite some time in this very zone and called it my weight loss zone. When I reached my goal weight I then had a very very minimal amount removed from my band so that I could be in my maintenance zone. .3ml removed even though it sounds small was enough to allow me to eat a little more and maintain my goal weight.

I'm in green zone but try to shoot for 1,000. Calories but most of time between 800-900 calories.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
