I am here...It was really easy....Have I said how much I love my doctor. I was so nervous why I don't know but he came and talked to me and just calmed me right down. I am more sore now then I was earlier but I haven't taken any pain med so I am taking some tonight to knock my butt out.

Thanks for your kind thoughts....I just love you guys.

Sure I will share....My port had flipped. (Which can happen w/ the band and I knew this going into the band.) He does in the hospital but it's same day surgery. So I was there @ 5:30 this morning and home @ noon. I have one little incision on my belly that is actually smaller then my first port incision. Go figure. :hat: At any rate that was it...no biggie he said my port was good so all he did was stich it back down. He found it under fluro when I went to get a fill, so that is why he went ahead and did a little fill.

Hope this is what you were looking for....you can ask me anything you want at any time.

Thanks Kim, that's exactly what I was looking for. I'd heard the port repair wasn't really a biggie and I was just confirming that.

I'm so glad everything's ok with you now. Hopefully you'll start losing again and get back on track. :hat:

Hey Kim I am so happy to hear you are doing fine and that port is back where it needs to be. Hang in there the soreness will soon be gone.

Love,

Angie

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
