Hello from San Diego! Just got banded three days ago and already am losing weight, though I know it's water weight at the start. Still in a bit of pain, but not bad. My surgeon cleared me today to start drinking "full" liquids, and I had some protein shakes that were quite a relief after being on clear liquids for a few days. I, too, look forward to getting off of the weight yo-yo and being able to maintain weight loss for a change.

Sup yo! Im getting mine August and was wondering when you think you'll go back to work? I'm planing on 5 days including the surguery day.

I went to work the next day but I work from home. If I had to go to an office I'd say 3-4 days tops. But I was still groggy for about a week from all the meds they pump into your body. Anesthesia, antibiotics, saline etc.

Welcome! I was banded on the 5th (a Thursday) and went back to work at my desk job on Monday. I may have pushed a bit hard ... an extra day or so would of been nice just to rest.
