Where Is Stuck Feeling?

Recommended Posts

I am going for my first fill in 3 weeks. I have never had a stuck feeling. I am wondering where is the feeling? Is it above your breastbone, behind it, or below it. I am trying to visualize where the stomach is and where the top of it is but am unsure.

Am I right to assume the full feeling you get after band might be above where your full feeling was before banding? Since the food is being held up higher in your pouch and not your stomach?

Thanks,

Laura

I didn't get the stuck feeling till I was about 5 cc. Believe me when your stuck... You know it! The feeling is how it feels when you need to barf but no nausea. You feel it in your upper torso/ chest area. Feeling stuck is bad, feeling full is what you are going for. When your stuck you feel like your only option for relief is to vomit. Avoid this feeling!

You will know when you are stuck! It's in your chest area generally....you'll most likely Water at the mouth and spit up or PB until it goes away. Try not to get there!!

Oh you will know the stuck feeling! I agree...its about mid chest. I have been having lots of problems with this lately and have started having back pains because of it. I think I might be overfilled. Calling Doc tomorrow.

you will know when you're stuck, and depending on how bad you may just feel throat discomfort or painful chest discomfort.

I have had stuck episodes , mostly with corned beef and pulled pork BBQ. It starts as a full feeling in your throat, then pressure in your chest, may also be in between your shoulder blades.

With the corned beef and pulled pork, I ate too big a piece, it got stuck, I started having lots of mucous and it took a while for that all to calm down. With the corned beef, I finally had to vomit and got rid of the offending piece.... Ugh, but I did learn my lesson. Small bites, chew, chew and chew some more.....

My mouth starts watering obscene amounts when I've been stuck. I'm relatively sure each time has been because of eating too fast. That and now bread is a "no go" for me. :(

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
