In Need Of Some Support

Recommended Posts

Ladies i am in need of some support in order to move forward. I've had my first fil and will need another one for certain because I'm not staying full. I havent lost anything in weeks and I am really frustrated because I am doing everything that I am supposed to and am in my mind right now not making progress.

I really could use someone who will be a support system, especially since we don't have support groups in my area.

Feel free to write anytime, I am trying to get some good support systems going. Be patient with your self, you are not in your green zone yet so your not restricted. You should try eating slow, setting down each bite after taking. avoid high carb sugar, and empty calorie liquides. you must burn more calories then you intake. So if you do make mistakes make up with exercise.

I would love a good support system too. Please try not to get discouraged - remember this isn't bypass, it isn't a quick fix but it can be a lifelong one. And many people have mentioned it takes several fills to get restriction... I know that's so frustrating but keep up the good work and the results WILL come.

Hey ladies we are all here to support each other! This is no easy road we have chosen to travel! Eating is an addiction!!! Every night when I lay down I check in here....kinda like my AA. All addicts need a support system!

Hi my name is Amy and I'm a over eater

Thank you ladies so much for your encouragement, believe me it is quite the uplifter. I look forward to getting to know each of you, and look forward to hearing your progress along the way.

So today was a better day, I didn't feel quite so alone today and that really helps. I haven't told but a handful of people about my band and sometimes it's a bit of a burden to keep to yourself. I have a very small (like 5 people) support group if friends and my husband who actually know, the decision not to tell just worked for my situation. I'm glad though that I can still find support with those who are actually going through the process as well.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
