14 months post up I've learned only weigh urself once a week same and in the morning and with the same amount of clothes be consistent .. Don't do it at night or evening that's when u t ur heavest.. Due to food Intake, Water, your meals. From the day!! Also never weigh urself during that special time of month and Never weigh urself after a big meal or drinking lots of Fluid. Always use bathroom n the am before getting on the scale.. I hope this helps.. U can do it stay encouraged

The first six weeks you are healing. Its SO important. My advice would be to be good to yourself and give it time. Eat healthy, exercise and rest. It takes a while to get your head wrapped around the changes you are going through. That was one of the hardest things for me to do.

I can only weigh once a week, or I'll drive myself crazy. I weigh only in the morning:) Do all the things the nutritionist says: Drink water; Do not drink when you eat; Begin your day with protein; Exercise; Lean meats and veggies. Its not easy, but, I know you can do it!

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
