RE: It's All About Restriction! Otherwise It's Just Another Diet.

Did you coin this phrase? I've been using it only I plagiarized it incorrectly?

B-52, good to see you back. You're the kind of bandster I aspire to be... I just haven't been able to embrace the work-outs like I should. Maybe twice a week, three times on a good week. I don't think I have endorphins, because I've just never had that "love this" feeling when it comes to working out ;-(

i can so relate, my knees hurt alot and i do try to walk as much as i can

i work at a sit down job and try to walk about once an hour. the good thing is my bathroom is 74 steps away one way

so i say to my self that each step is helping

hard to believe i use to do step aerobics and walk mini marathons. oh what i was...

No no no that's not the attitude....

In the beginning it's tough, with very little rewards. But eventually you start having accomplishments and victories, small at first, but enough to make you feel real good about yourself. So much so that you want to do it more to relive those small victories and aim for bigger ones, which will make you feel much more prouder about yourself.

Those are the endorphins. Then you are hooked.

I feel so good about myself after every workout, that when I miss a day it's almost depressing.

But you have to stat somewhere. Everone's victories are not the same.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
