Recommended Posts

I had my surgery dec 27 11 from then and now i have lost only about 10 pounds.I have had 5 fills i think i am at 6.7 cc. Every month i would get a fill and i would feel nothing like i never had the band i told the doctor what a waste of time he said it will eventually work.So i had a fill on monday and i waited a couple of days to go to solids and bam i felt restriction with little food what a difference so i just want to say hang in there you will get there.Today i had tuna and i barely had 2 spoons and i was full for like 4 hours .It will come patience now to figure out what i can and canot eat Goodluck everyone!!!

that is really good to know. I am 45 days post op and down 25lbs, 2 sizes and about 5 inches. I just had my first fill 3 days ago and feel no different. If I lost weight with no restriction woo hooo to restriction. thanks

Restriction is such an awesome thing! Just got another fill after a 4 month plateau and 7 pound gain..and i've lost 8 pounds in less than a week..I know that is fast but I think I needed to shock my body...come on size 10!

thank you so much for the encouragement... I had my surgery on 12/28 and I have lost nothing.. I initially lost weight, but slowly put out all back because I am just hungry all the time.. My last fill is finally offering some restriction.. very little though..

I had my surgery the 16th of march and I'm at 9cc in a 14cc band and I finally feel good too!!! I do not feel hungry a lot now. So eventually it works. Just takes time. I can now easily go from meal to meal w/I needing to snack because I feel full and satisfied. In fact I'm to the point where I'll realize it's time to eat because I get hungry rather than thinking about food just an hr after eating. It's very nice!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
