Starving... After 2 Fills... Need Some Help...

Recommended Posts

Ok, everyone. I need some help. I dont know what is going on with my body and I am just PRAYING that i am not the only one going thru this and someone can help me.

I have to start at the beginning, so here goes: I had my surgery on 12-28-2011. No problems. It went beautifully. no nausea, no vomiting, i mean nothing. I was never hungry. I have lost 50 pounds since then, which is incredible and I am very happy about that.

So, i went in for a fill(my first fill) in April. And wouldnt you know it, the port was flipped! So, i had surgery the next week and they fixed me up. Again not one problem. NOthing. NO hunger, just continued with my 4 ounces of Protein and 1/2 cup veggies like I had been doing. So, on May 22, 2012, i had my first fill. I got 3 ccs in my 10cc band. And was fine. I was only able to eat 2 ounces the first 2 days, and then after that, could fit 4 ounces in there and 1/2 cup veggies, like normal. so, i went for a second fill on June 19, 2012. She gave me 1 cc, so I am up to 4.5 ccs in there.

I was fine for 3 days, then on Friday, it was like someone pulled the rug from under me. I am STARVING!!! like the painful kind of hunger that radiates thru my back and i am never satisifed! the first 3 days, i ate my 2 ounces, and was fine, but then on Friday i was hungry so, i ate 3 ounces of protein. But, nothing. At first, i felt full after about 3 ounces but then was hungry like an hour later. and then today. OmG! I ate 2 boiled eggs and thought I was gonna die til lunch time. I am having tuna for lunch, and am almost eating the whole 4 ounces and my stomach feels like i havent eaten in a week! I dont know what to do. I am miserable.

Am i too full? Did my band break and now it is empty?

Help!!!

Dont have an answer for you. I can say that my doctor says 3 oz of solid Protein (weighed not measured in a cup). The tuna is it a tuna steak or canned tuna? Canned tuna would be a mushie and mushies won't keep you as full as solids.

Well I'm at 6 cc's and I have some of the same problems. Just wait until you get more cc's in the band. You'll be fine. Great weight lost though.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
