Why do my scars look totally different than everyone else's???

Hi Everyone,

I just looked through the scar stages pictures to know what to expect, and I am really freaked out! Everyone's picture has a tiny incision right under the bra area, while my incision there (in the center of my upper abdomen, directly under my bra) is like three inches long! Also, my other incisions/scars are not positioned the same as everyone else's! Did my surgeon know what he was doing???

Positioning is really a matter of doctor's preference. Search for a thread titled "where is your port". I posted that a few days ago after b eing surprised that my port is centered versus on my side, and I was surprised at how many different locations people have.

The incision just under my bra is at least 2" long.

Nothing to freak about. As Wheetsin said, where the port is located and where the laproscopic incisions are placed is up to the surgeon's preference. I have five scars. The longest scar is near the port, then there is one about half the port scar size, then three tiny ones. I've noticed that many people have their scars in locations far different than mine. It's normal. Hope you are relaxing about it now. :)
