Didn't your Dr. give you a list of things you can eat? I'm allowed to eat all the sugar free Popsicles, Fudgesicles, Jello & Pudding I want but even that only goes so far, lol.

I'm getting banded on July 19th! I had an endoscopy and gall bladder ultrasound on June 26th and I've been on a Sugar Busters diet ever since. I go for my preop stuff on July 12th. I'm very excited to get this chapter in my life started!

Today is day #5 for me, I feel ok so far but I just woke up so, lol. I wouldn't say you slipped, that was way better then the alternative really. Can I ask what you mean by a low? Is it like light headedness or just the strong urge to have something Other then what you can have, lol. I'm off day & tomorrow, which actually makes it harder more time sitting in my chair, watching tv and that's when I realized that this is where I ate for bordem. So, now I gotta find something else to do. Very glad I cleaned out my shelves & fridge so i can't have anything that I well, can't have. So, we shall see how these days off go...

Glad you're doing well, keep up the good work! ~Maria

I am diabetic and a low for me is when my blood sugar drops somewhere lower than 80. I get light headed, start getting confused and begin perspiring and I suppose I could pass out but I don't let it get that far. At that point I need to take in carbs.

Well 7 days down and 7 to go on the liquid and then the big day. I spend a lot of time in front of the TV but now that the heat has broken looking forward to start walking again.

Fred

I'm on the 12th and for some strange reason it hasn't sunk in that I'm having lap band. I think it's because I'm afraid it won't work because I have failed so many times in the past. I have heard from people that it just didn't work for them and yes, I know on this site there are hundreds of success stories. Why I feel like a failure beats the crap out of me. :(

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
