Hey Does Anyone Notice That They Are Able To Eat More When Your Menstrual Comes?

Recommended Posts

Hey.I just got my first menstrual since being banded yesterday and I kinda pigged out for the first time since the band. Not too bad but definitely more than I have since being banded. I am only 3 weeks out. But I made sure I walked 2 miles that evening. Is it the menstrual or do I just need my first fill soon? I notice I dont have much restriction anymore compared to my first 2 weeks or so. I can't go to the gym yet per doctors orders but I have been walking everyday at least 2 miles or more. 45 minutes or so. Help..Any advice?

I have the opposite issue. During ovulation and my period I'm very, very tight. It's not uncommon from what I hear to feel a little difference around that time.

Most of the time I become a ravenous monster, but during a few cycles I've become tight instead. Not sure what causes the difference, but man is it annoying sometimes!

If you haven't had a fill yet then your are probally able to eat a lot anyway. During my TOM I crave more sweets and they go down eaiser ;) (bad habbit I know). So if your like me you are probally eating slider foods....BTW a fill wont help with slider foods, they will still slide even after your start getting fills so try toget a handle on the period snacking early. I limit myslef to 2 "small" treats a day.

During PMS I am tighter. Once I start however I am ravenous. I make sure to measure the Protein and eat raw veggies until full.

I'm set to be banded this week and I've been spotting and cramping. I'm on the semi-liquid pre-op diet I noticed 2 days ago I'm ravenous which is hard on this strict diet I'm bloated so I've gained weight since I started the pre-op diet I'm frustrated, but sticking with it.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
