Be patient give your self time to heal. It is very important to follow dr orders on diet. This is time your band is setting in place the stitches holding the band in place are healing the stitches ke
I just had my lapband surgery on March 27, I started with my weight at 316, I am st 281 now. It has been 2 weeks and the doctor has told me it was ok for puddings and creamed soups and of course still clears and protien shakes. Today, I had a few bites of creamy mashed potaotes ( no chunks) lol and a few bites of winter squash which was like a puree consitency. I'm hoping that was ok. Also I still have a bit of tenderness where my port is, especially when I try to sleep on my right side.. used to be a stomach sleeper. How long before the tenderness goes away to be able to sleep comfortably again? I was also wondering since I have not had a fill yet.. but I'm guessing my full signal is like I have a little golf ball stuck in my stomach.. i def don't want to over do and ruin the band.. is that anormal feeling? Other that that I have no real issues and go back to my dr April 25th. My first few days after surgery were tough, didnt want to move and scared to drink or eat anything.. but i'm over it.. Just can't wait to introduce fish or chicken...lol.
