Still In Shock...(Nsv)

Recommended Posts

I went out shopping today to find a cute dress to wear for Easter. As I hunted through the racks I saw one I liked but was disappointed that it was only a size 10. Still I figured, I'll try it anyway...the worst thing that could happen is that it doesn't fit. I slipped it on, zipped it up, and almost started crying with joy! I literally have not worn a size 10 dress in well over ten years. Single digits, here I come!

That is great news. You should be so proud of yourself. I am down 85 lbs in 13 months. I have been losing and gaining the same 5 lbs for the last 3 months. Cant wait till I break this cycle.

Judych - funny, i am an Aussie as well and was thinking the exact same thing. I wear 18's here but have size 14 Levi's & other 16's i bought in Hawaii.

Jenn - well done.

I just had a NSV as well - i rode a bike for the first time in about 30 years. I am very excited because that was one of my major goals - to get back on a push bike.

Who has a swollen tummy in the afternoon with more gas?? anyone? my trousers are o.k... elastic waist of a morning but after lunch it swells up, gets some pain and i have lots of gas. i feel like getting into my nightie in the afternoons. Anyone else here have the same problems?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
