I've been making decent dietary choices and I've also been doing okay on Water.< /p>

I've not been exercising at all once again. My prime #1 failure in this entire program. I feel deep down tired and I know this is from lack of activity.

I am not sure how to force myself to exercise. I know the approach should be as simple as "Just do it" (thanks Nike).

I will try and spend time on "the black mile" this evening.

Yeah I hear ya. Exercise has been my HUGE downfall with regards to jump starting my loss. It is just so darn hard to get up and get motivated in the AM. I won't exercise unless I do it early in the AM. I am talking like 7a. If I get up later than that I won't exercise.

Maybe I need a mindset change and just do the exercise when I feel the need to. Not put a time frame on it. SIGH!!

Why oh WHY does it have to be so hard to LOSE weight?

We had a lot of years practice at not losing weight. We're good at that I'm sad to say.

Okay, I think I might try the morning thing. I've considered it but I've never tried it.

Tomorrow AM I set the clock for 7 and my first action of the day will be to walk on the 'mill.

Shudder.

Hey Paul I have heard that you should exercise and eat within the first hour of getting outta bed. Our bodies have been fasting all night long and need to be refueled quickly. Makes sense to me. 8 Hours of fasting or more I would be hungry for sure. Also drink Water at least 8 oz upon rising as we are mildly dehydrated as well. At least that is what I have heard. I do keep a bottle of water at bedside and if I get up to use the bathroom I take several swigs.

LOL

I am really trying this 6 meal a day thing. nothing in between each meal other than Water. Each meal is 2 hours apart. and you can only have 6. each meal is 100 to 150 cals each. if you eat it slow you are almost on top of the next meal by the time you are done. i feel like i am eating all damn day!! And I gotta tell you my metabolism has skyrocketed since I started it.

My big commitments: (which I am going to put in my sig)

To eat my 6 meals a day

To work out in the morning and evening at least an hour

To walk the dog on longer walks more

these are the things i really want to strive for. I have the Water down pat. Almost a gallon a day.

I have heard that eating 6 meals a day will increase your metabolism. I have to tell you though if I told myself I was gonna eat every two hours I would fail miserably. LOL!! I would think it was OK to eat JUNK. LOL!!

I gotta do something though. Might just give it a go.

the thing is...with this, i can have junk. but i can only have 100-150 cals worth

it helps me from losing my mind and binging on stuff i don't need.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
