Anyone had the band with plication? I did on 3/20/2012 and am doing well! Having some belly growling--it's like my stomach is telling me I am hungry but my brain doesn't think I am all that hungry (although I do feel I could eat). I am on clears-- one ounce every 30 minutes while awake. I feel like I can drink more than that, and have at times. My dietician said I could stretch the pouch. Anyone dealing with this?

Hello,

I had the plication with the band on 3-13-2012. I have a lot of stomach growling as well but I stay hungry. I am not sure if its mental or if I'm really hungry. I have lost 12lbs so far and started walking more. I am still doing my Protein Drinks and drinking lots and lots of Water :)

What was your diet for the first week or two? How long did you stay on clears? Good luck to you, and great job on the 12 lbs!

I did clears for one week then I called my nurse an told her how hungry I was. Since I was 7 days in she allowed me to start some soft foods like low fat yogurts, low fat pudding, low fat Jello, and low fat apple sauce..cottage cheese etc..but I still do the Protein drinks and lots of Water. I am still eating like this for another 2.5 weeks. Honestly, I am still hungry but I have to train my brain and remember to eat every 2hrs. This way I will not allow myself to get as hungry as I've been. Good luck to you as well and lets keep in touch. I can use the motivation from everyone on here :)

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
