Flabby Arms... Exercising, Now What?

Recommended Posts

Hey yall.

So my underarms are icky and flabby. I work out everyday and do pilates 3 days a week and can see that the fat is visibly being lost in them but they still have that not attractive left over skin.

How can I make that skin tighten up and be more attractive? My mom offered to get me surgery (she is the best) but I want to try everything else first. Its almost bathing suit season and tank season so I wanna be not embarrassed by them anymore.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately when u lose the fat and just have skin left theres only 1 solution and thats surgery ! are your arms the only place u have spare skin ? i have it all over due to the amount of weight i have lost, not sure what bit of me to attack first :)

I have been working on getting the loose skin removed for 2 years and I have had my arms done and I don't even notice the scars any more and have no regrets. I have beautifully shaped arm muscles and love to show them off now that the batwings are gone. Next Monday my turkey neck and wattles go in the medical waste can and I am thrilled. I have nothing against age appropriate wrinkles etc, but were it not for losing all this wt I wouldn't have hanging skin, so I just laugh at ppl who are critical.

Best wishes on your future endeavors.

Mimi

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
