Not Sure If My Band Has Just Decided To Tighten Up, Or I Am Back In The Green Zone Or Have A Slip?

Recommended Posts

Not sure if my band has just decided to tighten up, or I am back in the green zone or have a slip? I have had to go back to pureed meat so that it goes down easier. I can’t eat more than ½- ¾ cup of food. Then I am so full, almost feel stuck and if I drink after 30 minutes of eating I am gurgly for hours. Yesterday I ate some cream cheese pizza dip and I was all of a sudden so tight and major heart burn after 2 hours of eating. I decided to get sick so I could feel better and that took the pressure off. I am trying to see my surgeon next week as they are away this week. I have been this way for 5 days.

It could just be acid reflux. I know when mine flares up it is awful, I can't keep anything down and the pain is intense. Are you on any reflux meds?

Kimber13 - I have acid reflux. I do take meds. I can't get off of them. I ended up getting sick again tonight as the pain was so intense after eating still 2.5 hours later. Now I need to take is easy as I am really swollen. Thanks for your quick post.

The crazy part was I was trying to book a fill last week and can't get in until next week. A fill would be the last thing I need. I was this bad last september when traveling in Europe.

Thanks,

Kristi

Good luck, hopefully it can be fixed with a med adjustment and isn't anything more serious... Reflux is the most annoying thing for me, and I too need to go back to the Dr. but keep putting it off (I like the weight loss I have been seeing).

I take Pantoprozole for my acid reflux. I also only drink i med coffee a day and no diet drinks except one night/week.

This feeling has slowed down my eating for sure. Helped to break my plateau.

Kimberly13 great to hear that you are happy with your weight loss! Keep up the great work!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
