Filled and lovin' it

Recommended Posts

I was filled yesterday for the first time. Not sure if I was nervous, but the 1.2 cc they tried to give was too much so I ended up paying for .6 cc. I am worried that this may not be enough for a long term benefit, but for right now, Yay! Last night I had some V-8. It caught and stayed in the band and I felt fully satisfied for 2 minutes or so at a time. I am still on liquids today. The instant Breakfast went down a little faster, so after a couple of hours and a big bottle of Water I switched back to the thicker V-8. I love not being hungry.

Woo-Hoo. I am getting started - finally.

:) :) ;)

Nah, I paid for the fill. I only recieved .6 cc. I think it would have been cheaper if I had been able to pay by volume. I know having too much is dangerous, but... just being negative I guess. Sorry if I confused people. :nervous

Thanks everyone for being out there and excited for me.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
