Oh. My. Goodness. I was not expecting to be this tender. I'm not sure why, but this is a bit much for me. I have a very high pain threshold but a very low discomfort threshold. And while the pain medicine helps with the stabbing pain the discomfort is killing me. I can't help but wonder if the doctor lied to me and it would have been more comfortable to have the 5-6 incision version.

I've not managed to take in any Protein yet. Just liquids. They filled me up with 5 lbs of IV fluids somehow!! As a result I came out of surgery with new stretch marks on my arms. I wish that was a joke. I slept though my medicine dose last night, so I woke up in... yea.. Ugh. I only saw one person on the boards say this was worse than c-section and one person say this was like doing 30,000 crunches... and that is so right.

Everything went as planned, minus the surgeon being 15 minutes late. Even though I have a CPAP machine, I went home two hours after surgery. Everyone laughs at my CPAP because it is set on 5 (4 is the lowest), so they didn't even put me on it. I was thankful for it for the first time last night though. I keep resisting taking deep breaths, because they hurt but I wasn't nervous about sleeping because of the machine.

Anyway, I'm hoping that everything is manageable by tomorrow. No regrets. Its too soon for any of that.

I think I'm going to go back to sleep.

Hey ! Tender is a great way to put it. I had the 2incision lapband and i tell you what this left side is killing me! Im 4 days out now and today i think i overdid it. I went for a drive by myself ( not really sure what my dr said), but i just couldnt stay in the house anymore. Visited my parents about 45min. Away then took a nap at my sisters on the way home. By time i got home i was in quite a bit of pain. Took a loooong hotshower and just now am starting on my second Protein Shake. I switched to nectar sweets brand chocolate. My sheet says i can have skim milk so i mixed it with that and i seem to be doing better. I was tired of pooping!( sorry to be gross). Having issues with constantly needing to sneeze, and tonight im very tearful. I think its because im such a go getter and right now im not seeing the light at the end where i will feel like myself again..........

I did the 5 incision surgery, but if it makes you feel better day 1 through 6 was rough but you get through. I am on day 11 and feel almost completely normal!! You will get through this. Day 4 and 5 I went shopping and when I got home I was pooped! I could not believe how much I couldnt do and felt so yucky, I just wanted to be normal again. I promise if you give yourselves a few days you will be doing more!

So happy to see I'm not the only one who is sitting hear going "what the hell did I do to myself!?" I am tempted to go shopping, but I know I won't make it. I keep getting burps stuck for some reason. It is driving me up the wall how much such a small thing is leading to so much discomfort. And I think my dogs hate me at this point because they can't sit on me.. nevermind the kids! I think I won't be driving for at least a week, but I might have to sit in the car later to get out of the house.

I am still on Clear Liquids. I am surprisingly able to tolerate the Isopure drinks. I also make yogurt at home, so I have yogurt whey which is a good break from all the yucky sweet stuff. Oye. I can't imagine myself ever wanting to eat based on how cumbersome drinking is.. but, shay33, you give me hope! Maybe tomrrow will be better. Or today after another nap.

I am trying to go without pain meds today. We'll see how it goes. I almost feel human. I am also now 2lbs away from being just obese instead of morbidly obese. Maybe I'll get there before Friday when I go on to full liquids. Slowly but surely feeling okay with all of this. Sort of. lol

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
