filled yet deflated!

Shelly, That is a beautiful dress...very elegant. Thanks for sharing the pics with us, you look gorgeous in it! You've lost a great deal of weight already, I have faith that you can do this. It may come off slower the closer you get to goal, but I think you can make it. Hope your new fill helps out. I am super finicky with fills also. I literally slimed when I had my fill from 1cc to 1.5... stood up and before I even had a second sip of Water I was salivating and had to spit in a trashcan. It was not only spit but actual "slime", after that I was able to drink my water and the doctor let me leave with the 1.5ccs. Of course, I was back 9 days later to unfill to 1.3 ccs, so even small amounts make a HUGE difference for some of us. Maybe you will be able to get another teeny tiny fill in a couple of weeks and really creep SLOWLY to better restriction again?

Geez, I loveeeeeeeee weddings. Makes me think of mine too. Was a size 12. And I was more like a size 10. So I agree that 18 is probably more like a 16!!! Wedding dresses run small in cut I think too. I love your strapless dress! I went for something to cover my arms because I think mine are too big. You have perfect shoulders though!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
