I had the sane problem. Someone here told me I was probably dehydrated. I doubled my Water and felt wayyyy better the next day. I took it easy at work and home for 3 weeks then I turned a corner and felt close to 100 percent. I was Clear Liquids for 2 days then carnation instant Breakfast shakes for 2 weeks then mushies. Unfortunately I can eat anything now at 4 and a half weeks. Waiting for my first fill! Can't come fast enough. Good luck :)

Whenever you are awake you need to be sipping liquids. You are probably dehydrated. I think I went to Protein Shakes around day 3. Maybe get some gatorade to sip in addition to Water and juice.< /p>

I have gotten light headed and almost past out a few times; even when I was still in the hospital. I sit or lay down with a fan on me and it goes away. I will have to see if extra Water helps. I was banded on 10/19 and still on clear liquids. I am very much looking forward to full liquids though; I am sick and tired of broth. I go to my surgeon's office for my first post-op follow-up visit tomorrow and should be cleared for full liquids.

Drink apple juice watered down. Then Water, water, water. As soon as you can, start drinking Protein Shakes again.

I was on Protein shakes the same day!

Had surgery at 6am then was drinking a shake (made with water) at 1pm!

I agree with the above comments,

make sure you're getting about 6oz every hour you're awake

I, too, was light headed so i had to add Gatorade and fruit juices to my diet.

It also sounds like you need more rest/recovery time.

Listen to your body when you return to work.

If you need more time off, don't be afraid or ashamed or proud to ask for it

It'll be worse in the long run.

Could be anesthesia. Effects last a while.

I am on clear liquids for a week then after my week follow up I should be able to start "full" liquids including Protein shakes. I have been feeling good no issues with being light headed.

Take it slow! Yes sip Water, juice & when on the Protein you will perk up. I would go, go and just crash. I over did it the first week. I was like a baby and had to nap 1-2x/day. Don't over do it!

I am 6 days post op, mostly clear liquids with boost in the morning to give me some energy. I've been feeling light headed I think it may be I need more Water. I'll try and see how that goes. As for feeling hungry I would say I'm pretty satisfied with what I am taking in during the day.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
