filled 14 days ago and still have trouble

Recommended Posts

I had my second fill 1/26 and I can keep most things down, like tuna or oatmeal, or crackers, but then if i eat regular meat, i throw up. even very chewed chicken that is soft. I ate tuna salad the other night and that was fine.

should I be concerned or is that normal, I am really restricted in the morning, i can barely drink my slimfast, but then i can eat lunch slowly.

Sounds like its working pretty good..

BUT if you cant handle it and have chest pains or PB, than you should prolly get a unfiilll..

oatmeal and meat and stuff is not easy

I had my second fill 10 ago. I've come to the realization that if I don't chew each bite at least 30 times......I'll suffer badly. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I hate to think of what goes on inside me once that chest pain starts....I think of things stretching, ripping, moving, slipping, eroding.......and that shakes me back to reality and makes me eat so verrryyy slowly that I grow bored with the food!

Its amazing how little I eat.....I often get discouraged by my food having turned cold

Most of all I am terrified at each instant I swallow too soon by mistake (or because of bad old habits). When I know the bite is too big, or not chewed well enough, I just know that I’m hurting myself and I’m multiplying my chances of failure with this band.

I had chili last night and for some reason I didn't think it would be a problem, i was way wrong. I couldn't keep it down, so I ate crackers and Peanut Butter later. My biggest concern is getting my Protein, so i am eating more cottage cheese, Peanut Butter, slim fast with Protein and milk.

I am going to try the hot tea thing though.

Thanks

Pb daily for 2 months? that will definently make me consider a little unfill, i don't want this for 2 months.

Pb is productive burp right? if it is just a productive burp and not throwing up, then that wouldn't be so bad. right now i am craving a big hamburger. thats something i probably won't have for along time.

I'm kind of in the same boat you're in. My last fill (1-27) really gave me restriction and I too was worried that it was too much. I did read however that hot liquid just before you eat might help with the first bite thing. I tried it today and it did help! I am glad to have read that here. It would be great if I could get through eating lunch without having to excuse myself to do my PB. I think that the people that I work with are beginning to think that I am bullemic

Wendy go on liquids for a couple days....then on to mushys ect...as you can. If this doesn't help I would get an slight unfill. It could be that you have everything irritated and kinda going back to your basics could help you see exactly what you can tolerate with food!

I also am tighter in the AM but watch out for night time. I can eat more than I think I should at night. Protein Drinks give me trouble if I drink them to fast and if they are to cold...this could be the same as with your slim fast! Drink it slowly and drink lots of Water between meals. I find when I'm better hydrated I don't seem as tight too! Drinking warm liquids does help!

I tried the warm liquids this weekend and it did help a bit, the slim fast does give me a little trouble in the morning, it takes me over an hour to drink it.

The one thing I really slacked on was Water intake. I am really going to try to work on that this week.

The good news is that I haven't thrown up since last Wednesday. I have been much more careful.

Thanks for the advice.

Give it a bit of time, with the above suggestions. If you are bypassing, your hard Proteins, with soft mushies and "easy" stuff....then maybe a little unfill might be better.

I was exactly in your position. I ended up removing my last fill....2cc and boy did I feel better. I was tired of getting sick on REAL food, no matter how much I ate or how well I chewed.

I took 2 little bites of steak saturday and kept it down, I had tuna friday and kept it down. I had a couple of bites of sloppy joe for lunch yesterday for lunch and kept it down.

So I am thinking I am o.k. Although it is definently not a comfortable situation at all.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
