Post surgery not what I expected

I use the Fitness Pal app, You can use it on your computer too. It keeps track of everything you put in your mouth. Its a great tool to use with your lap band. Whole grain oatmeal is great for low calorie filling mushy. Soft scrambled egg with little pieces of turkey ham and 1/2 slice of of farmers cheese. It really filling. I could eat a horse right now, but I focus on 700 - 1000 cal a day. My focus is recognizing the sense of feeling full. Good luck!

Today was my first day feeling hungry. Banded 10/15 I already started eating but I chew so much everything is mush. But today I was scared because I ate the most I've eaten in a month. Had like 6 small meals!!! I thought I did something wrong but now I feel more relaxed after reading all the comments. Getting my first fill 11/16, can't wait!!! Scared bout the pain but ready to go back to not rating much Nd not feeling good bout weight loss.

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
