I am a nervous wreck

Recommended Posts

I am having my first fill on Thursday, i am really nervous, I really do not have any restriction right now, i can eat anything, i am trying to not eat that much but i do not know what is going to happen after my fill, i have posted things on here before and have not gotten any feed back, i am asking for some advice please, i have not lost but 1.5 pounds since my surgery 8-25 and i am hoping that this fill is going to help me with some weight loss. Any help you can give will be well appreciated.

thanks

Deb

Just watch you portions, and listen to your stomach it will tell you when your not hungry, after my first fill i could tell a difference, but everyone is different, good luck

my surgery was 8/26. The only way I was able to lose any weight the first couple weeks was just to drink Protein Shakes and have Soup. First fill was only 1cc which disappointed me, but I stuck with the drinks a few days afterward and started eating some. Use a salad plate and don't eat any more. The first few fills are going to take a lot of willpower.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
