If you have a health card for your insurance there should be a 1-800 number on it that you can call to find out if your insurance covers lapbanding and if so what is required to get coverage for it Iam not sure which insurance your meaning so I can not be sure what requirements you will have I work for the public school system and Iam on ASBAIT the state's Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance for state employees if your on that type insurance the blue cross blue shield one I can tell that in my case it did and I was required to submit a letter from my doctor saying the surgery was needed and I was required to attend 8 weeks of nutritional training and had to submit medical records showing that I had been overweight for more than 5 years and I also had to be evaluated by a pyschaitrist and she had to file a report stating that I was mentally fit for the surgery. If your not comfortable call your insurance to ask them you can call the office of the doctor in your area that does the lapabnd surgery and they will be able to tell you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
