I like this thread, it is nice to post the positives when for a long time I just saw negatives in my body. :D

So are we talking naked in front of the mirror? If so I would say my face. if we are talking about with clothes on, it would be a toss up between my butt and my waist. haha

I am loving the hourglass shape again, but am inpressed that I have lost so much of my butt!!

Again this is with the clothes on. off, I can tell I am 45 years old!!!lol

I did post what I love about my body, but I have another one. I LOVE my face. My double chin is turning into a single chin. and I am getting cheek bone again.

LOL! this is a joyful thread!

I enjoy the times when I look in the mirror or see a fresh picture of myself and feel a jolt of reality in the knowledge that I look like a human being with curves, a chin, still a stomach, but one that is not bigger than the girls, and then there are my thighs that now allow my legs to be closer together when standing, ankles that look like ankles and feet that don't hold the Water the way they used too! sigh .... ain't life grand?

I like that I fit in a size 14, and not a size 22, and I don't have a jelly roll anymore!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
