What is the one thing you love about yourself when you look in the Mirror...

Recommended Posts

Now that some weight is coming of, I can see that Beautiful hourglass shape.

Yesterday a neighbor who had not seen me in about 6 months complimented me on my WL.

He told me that you could see that hourglass shape a mile away. That's how much it stands out...

I always did like the fact that I did have a nice one... So,,, glad to see it's back.

So what do you see about yourself in the Mirror that you love about yourself ?

My waist. Just tried on an old belt and remember it was on the last hole, realized I just lost 7 inches off my waist in 3 months. Ahh! What a great feeling considering I have not seen the scale change a lot.

I like that my pointy chin (which I used to hate) is becoming prominent again...lol. Also like being able to see a defined waistline again and ankles that aren't constantly swollen!

It is. This is the first time since college that my boobs stuck out further than my belly! LOL!

I know, waiting is so hard, especially after losing so much (I've lost 61lbs total so far, some pre-band) but know I still have another 60 to lose sucks. Trying to be patient since it took almost 7 years to gain all this weight, and I know the band isn't a miracle worker...I want to be able to wear shorts and sleeveless tops again without being mortified! (Plus, I have never weighed less than my husband, so that's a big goal of mine...only about 35 more lbs to go for that!) :)

I got patients like I said, and this is my second time around.

First time I lost over 120lbs pre op, I took of 151 total. then the Doc screwed up,

made a bad call, and deflated me. I regained almost all back, maybe 25 lbs. shy of where I was.

So I started again this January, and I now have a excellent surgeon for aftercare (THAT'S IMPORTANT !)

So I learned to Wait for what I want...

Great Job on the weight Loss for being pre band.... I know it's hard, and frustrating at times,

but that just shows how strong of a person you really are.

Good Health to you, Shirley.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
