I feel like a failure

Recommended Posts

I was banded August of 2010 and I'm only down 36 lbs and I feel like a huge failure....I got this band to help me and feel like I'm abusing the gift I was given. Everyone tells me I look great but I feel like I should be doing so much better than I am

1st off, your NOT a failure. everybodys going to have ups and downs in this journey. but if you feel like you should be further then GO further. only your head is holding you back! take a look at what your really doing. are you eating exactly what you should be? are you excersing enough? if you are then you will go far! give your body time. sometimes you have to wait for your body to catch up. but just remember, if you make a bad choice, is doesnt mean its over. we beat ourselves up when its really so easy to forgive, forget, and get back on track.

I have had several fills over the past 3 yrs. last time I was there I had to have some taken out because of reflux. I am thinking I need to go back in. I feel like I will be too tight if I do though.

Just stick with it! I have a friend that has not been as successful as I have been. I am trying to follow the rules and working out like crazy. In my case my MIL paid my co-pay and I sure didn't want to be judged. The bottom line is I felt like I had went to drastic measures and I am living by the 80/20 plan. I follow the rules and eat good choices no junk 80 % of the time. If I know I am going to eat at church sunday I will save up for that banana pudding. I have a friend that pushes the amount of food she eats on a regular basis and she has not been as successful. You can do anything you set your mind to go back to the basics maybe get a fill and start the race over! Best of luck to you!!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
