OK, had a big fill a week and 1/2 ago. The doc put in 1.2. Finally have some feeling of restriction. I have only gained since being rebanded in March. ( I had a slip) I replaced the battery in my scale and have been doing some cardio and band exercises and am down 4 lbs. This is much harder the 2nd time around. Doc said it is because we pick up bad habits from testing the band and know what we THINK we can get away with, but the scale tells the story.

In that time, since the fill, I have also broken up with my boyfriend of long standing rather suddenly. The exercise is keeping endorphins flowing and I punch his face with each stretch of my resistance bands. LOL

Hanging in there and not letting food be my crutch through a tough time.

Keep punching him! You might want to sign up for a kick boxing class and make him your target there too! LOL! Good luck. This is one journey I would not want to have to make a second time!

I need to. It is important to 'know' people who are dealing with the same issues. The stress diet is really working. LOL

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
