What does it feel like? And if you feel it after a fill but it goes away, how long does it last before it it goes away?

I had a fill Wednesday of this last week. I didn't feel much different until yesterday (Saturday). Now I feel full when I eat about three ounces of food. I don't feel hungry for many hours. Is this what I am looking for? And if so, does it ususally last? This was my first fill and I have 3cc's in a 10cc band.

Thank you for all this help you all give us newbies on here.

I had my fill last Thursday and I feel full after eating much smaller amounts. Not full like I am stuffed, but rather the kind of full that I don't need or want to eat more. Depennding what I eat I am full for several hours. I think it's important for me to remember to eat solid Proteins and avoid sliders. I am so use to sliders that I have to stop and eat Protein first. I hope it lasts until my next fill in 4 weeks, but that's not the way to bet! Good luck to you!

Yes Weesie, what you're feeling now is exactly what you want to feel. It lasts a different amount of time for everyone- I hope it stays this way with you for a long time!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
