Patient & Surgeon Application Bugs, Info and Suggestions

Recommended Posts

Hey All,

As you may have noticed, we've launched a Lap-Band Surgeon and Patient Search application for LapBandTalk!

The application is currently in Beta - so there may be minor issues or bugs. If you find any, or if you simply have a suggestion that you'd like to see make it into the system, please let us know right here!

Thanks, and we are looking forward to your feedback!

- Ken S.

How does a doctor add their name onto the surgeon list?

Please have them visit http://www.wlsboards.com/contactus/index.php?/Tickets/Submit to submit their information.

I have 2 surgeons. One who banded me, and the one I go to since I moved.

I can not get my name on any list., even the one who banded me..

I Tried your link, but it says it's in error just like the other person told you.

So I can't get on. How about some help that works.

Shirley.

Shirley,

I logged in as you and had no issues editing your Lap-Band profile. I'm going to send you a PM.

Hi there, can you please let me know what happens when you attempt to select your new Surgeon from the Drop-Down and then click on the Save button?

Thanks,

Ken

Bug:

http://www.lapbandtalk.com/patient/edit/ is redirecting to http://www.lapbandtalk.com/patient/search/ and not allowing me to edit my Patient Profile.

I don’t even see a drop down list. Should I be on this page http://www.lapbandtalk.com/patient/viewpatient/26079/edit

Clicking edit profile does nothing and click here to change status redirects me http://www.lapbandtalk.com/user/298781-wantinghealth/

Then clicking lap band patient profile redirects me back to http://www.lapbandtalk.com/patient/viewpatient/26079

In an endless loop.

Hi there,

If you're using IE 7.x, the following steps should allow you to enable JavaScript:

1) Click the Tools button. The Tools button should appear as a Gear icon, to the right of the Page button.

2) Select "Internet Options" from the dropdown.

3) Select the "Security" tab in the window that appears.

4) Select "Custom Level" near the bottom of the window.

5) Scroll down until you locate the settings titled "Active Scripting"

6) Set "Active Scripting" to "Enable"

7) Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the window.

8) Confirm the settings by clicking "Yes" in the confirmation window that pops up.

9) Click the "OK" in the tools window.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Ken

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
