Got my 3rd fill!

Recommended Posts

Well, I went to the Dr on Friday and a got another fill. I am now at 2cc's. Not nearly as restriced as when I had 2.25; but at least I can drink now:) I am ready to start shrinking!!! I gained 2-3 lbs after he took out some of my fill on Dec 29, so hopefully I start losing again! I have been kinda discouarged lately, well since he took some of my saline out. I was really losing when I was that tight, then I gained some and was really hoping to have dropped at least a pound by today! But no such luck, maybe in the morning I will get on the scale and I will be down 5 lbs.. Till next time....

Thanks Vera!! I think it is gonna work for me. I didn't have Breakfast today and for lunch I had 1 eggroll from Jack in the Box with alot of Buttermilk house dressing so it would go down. I had also ordered a side salad, but did not even open it!! So maybe I will start losing again!

Hi Kellymoos!

I'm glad to hear you're doing OK! I hope this fill settles in well for you and that your weight loss picks up again. We're at exactly the same place, bandsister, stalled at -34! I'm going to give it asnother couple of weeks and if there's no change in my restriction I'm going to see about another fill. In the meantime, I'll be sending you good vibes!

Cheers,

Hi Kelly,

I have been super restricted for about 2 1/2 weeks now, and it seems to be getting worse. Like right now I had one small bite of a sandwich and that was it. I felt pain in my back and stopped eating. Did you experience pain? Is that the reason you had some taken out?

I have a 9cc band and my doctor gave me 5cc fill on my first and only fill. He said that I would not need another fill and to call him when I have lost the weight. Well I am 10lbs from my goal and am considering an un-fill. Just wanted to know about your experience.

I also noticed that you said you gained weight when you had the fill taken out. Is that because you ate more?

Any suggestions?

Mary

I was so restricted that I could not chew gum, It made to much saliva for me to swallow. My opening was the size of a thread. So, yes when he took some out I could eat. In the morning time I could not even drink anything and in the afternoons I could drink, just really slow. If you hit the button on the right side of this post that says view other posts by this user you can read what I have posted about the fills and then my unfill. There is no way I can eat a sandwich, I can't eat bread, even after he took some of my fill out, I tried bread and it got stuck. How much have you lost? 10 lbs from your goal weight is wonderful! Your stomach might just be swollen from irritation and if you try to go on liquids for a couple of days it might go back to normal. I would try and do liquids for 3-4 days and see if that makes a difference. I don't think I would get some taken out till I have tried the liquids. Also, stress has alot to do with the restriction...Are u stressed? Keep in touch and let me know how things go.....Good Luck to you.

Hi Kelly,

Thank you. Yes I am stressed. I own my own business and going through home remodeling right now so "STRESS" is an under statement. It frustrates me because I was ok for the past 4 months. I had the occassional golf ball but nothing like this. Of course my family panics and they encourage me to take some out but if things only go back to the way they used to be I'll be ok. Hopefully things will go back to normal soon.

Thanks again,

Mary

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
