I bought a pill crusher and I crush them and add a little flavored Water (like crystal light) to it. The worst are these Red Yeast Rice capsules I have to take. They are gross. This I found as a bummer about the lap band. But maybe after I lose weight, I can get off of some of my meds. Good Luck to You!!

I used sugar free pudding. take a spoon or 1/2 spoon whatever soot's your taste "no pun intended" , put your crushed pill into that, then take another spoon of pudding. Use a swallow or 2 of Water to help wash it down, if it's that bad. That's what I did. Hope it helps.

The only pill I had to crush was my pain pill (Vicodin) and I tried it crushed once and couldn't do it. I was told I could cut the pills up (real small) and take them that way.

I take multiple different sized pills and I do NOT crush any of them. I have changed the times during the day that I take some of them, so that I am not taking all of them at the same time, When I asked the doctor, he told me that unless it is a really large pill you should not have to crush it. It is also very important to make sure that any medicines you are taking are not extended release medications, their coating or capsules are designed to dissove at a rate for the extended release. Best of luck. You can also check to see if any of the medications are available in a liquid form.

As for physically getting them down the hatch with minimum flavour impact? Shove the bits on to the back of your tongue instead of merely popping them into your mouth where they hit your tongue more toward the middle. Then hit it with a bit of Water. It should do the trick with minimum misery.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
