rai-sally-E1124324152-1fc.jpg Hey All,

Today I set out to get my 2nd fill at 9:00 I then got lost & then they couldent find my port or I should say thought they were on it but in fact she was not. After being poked a million times . She decided to call doctor who happens to work out of the hospital closest to my house. How strange is that. Anyway he was so nice. He met me at the hospital & did my fill under floro I was finally finished around 3:00. Hope my future fills never take that long. The good that came out of it is that this Doctor is willing to do all my future fills. I ended up with 1.4 cc more which leaves me at 3.4cc Hoping that this time I reach my sweet spot. I was so worried that I may have had a leaking port but I dont. Today wont be easy. I dident eat anything & now need to stay on liquids for the next 24 hrs. I'll keep you all posted on my progress .

Oh Thanks your so sweet. I really need to loose about 80 more lbs. That would put me at 130. I carry most of my weight in my thighs

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
