Good! I hope Inamed gets their hands on whoever did it. Gray market medical supplies should NEVER be listed on ebay.

I am almost positive they had something to do with it. Too many of us reported the issue to them. They assured me via email they were on top of it. So I am sure they had it pulled.

I know my surgeon was aware of the items on ebay for sale. He emailed Inamed and they were already aware as well! Obviously, a good decision.

I have a friend that works at ebay in the investigation and fraud department. She said that she was not aware of it being a problem unless they get complaints from the company. They sell a lot of medical equipment and it probably did not raise any red flags because they weren't familiar with the band. They have so many lists on ebay they can not check every single one, and since there were no key words that would be questionable they would not check it out unless they had complaints. So I don't think the seller would be suspended.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
