Weight Loss

I had the lap band procedure 12 days ago and have lost 10 pounds. However, the 10 pounds was lost the first 6 days and now I seem stuck. Is this normal? I haven't started walking yet because my stomach is still swollen and I'm still on the weak side. What else can I do? I truly want to be one of the success stories!!

1. The first 6 weeks are for healing. You cannot expect to lose weight for the next 6 weeks, and if you do count yourself lucky. Stay off the scale.

2. The scale isn't your only measure of success. Take your body measurements. Are you feeling better about yourself? Those all count as well.
