Psychological Effect of the Band?

Recommended Posts

OK, I think this band is having some definite undeniable physical effect. Afterall I'm eating 3 small meals a day totalling 1,000 to 1200 calories and no hunger pangs, I'm not struggling with it in the slightest.

But I also think a lot of the "restriction" I say I have is all in my head. I'm eating about a cup of food at a time, but I'm not getting stuffed, yet I know definitely to stop. Is it the expectation that a cup is all I should eat? Is it the slow and cautious way of eating that makes it easy to stop?

I dont know and I dont care. All I know is it's working. I go to see the surgeon in two weeks for my first fill, I guess it'll be very tiny because they weight's still coming off by the day - and I can still say I dont think I need a fill a month down the track.

It really is a miracle to me. I couldnt have dreamed it would work this well.

I can't spell or pronounce Jack's term for it, for some reason, tonight - but the basic idea is that you aren't "full" or "Stuffed" you are satisfied. It's wonderful that you are stopping at this point and not testing the limits of your band.

That eating until your satisfied and then STOPPING business is what keeps thin people thin...

Congrats!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
