Dr. Paul Guske - If you have a choice, choose Guske

Recommended Posts

I just had my Lap band Surgery on 2/4/2011 and Dr. Paul Guske was my Surgeon. I chose him through the Subrban Surgical Care center (Kane Center). Dr. Guske has great Bedside manner and is a very down to earth guy. What i like best about him is that he always takes time to answer any questions i may have. He is very patient and understanding to all of his patients needs. Surgery itself is a scary thing for anyone to have to go through but Dr. Guske made the process a lot easier by helping me to understand everything that was going to take place. My surgery was a success and everything turned out fine. I am currently recovering but i feel great. I am a little sore but that is expected after surgery. I look forward to building a relationship with Dr. Guske over the years on my road to a new Healthy lifestyle.

I just had my surgery a week ago Friday 2-18 and i also went to the Kane center. I had Dr. Rentas and I like him alot as well. Very informative and easy to talk to. My surgery went very well and going thru my healing time.

I do have a question for you if you do not mind.

It has been a 9 days for me after surgery and I am going back to work tomorrow. I still have a hard time with laying down on my side. I sleep in the fetal position and I have had to sleep on my back all week. Have you noticed that???

Dr. Guske did my surgery on April 27th 2010. I have lost 149 pounds in my first year, and have had zero complications. He has been absolutely phenominal, as his whole group is. I actually had started my initial consultation with a different surgeon, but he could not do it. I had a good friend who used him as well, so I was able to have Dr. Guske do the surgery. I thank god everyday for him. He is a great person and genuine. He cares about what he does. I asked him what it feels like to change peoples lives, and the smile on his face told me how he truly enjoys what he does and that it gives him a great feeling. I could not reccmmend him any higher

Hello,

Dr. Guske did my lap band surgery on May 4, 2010. I have lost 111 pounds and am now 5 pounds from my personal goal. Dr. Guske has been truly amazing during this process and without him I woul not have had this success. He is assisting me in the process of all this Excess skin removal and is as always sensitive and supportive about this. We are all blessed he is doing this!! Good luck!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
