What vitamins are you taking?

Recommended Posts

I need some advice on bariatric Vitamins. I am currently taking the Bariatric Advantage Mixed berry flvor and I HATE THEM! They are so yucky and almost seem to fizz in my mouth...GROSS! I will take them until they are gone, but I want something different. Any suggestions? Also, what are you taking on top of your bariatric vitamins? B12? Biotin? What is your Vitamin regimen?

I drink my Vitamins in the form of what's called EcoDrink (I buy it at Costco). It's 100% of everything I need in a quick easy drink. Doesn't taste all that bad either. And all my blood work is awesome. :D

I take one Flintstones chewable and 2 calcium chews. Maybe I am strange but I like the Flintstones Vitamins. :)

My blood work indicated I am low on B1 so I need to find another supplement and add that as well.

My surgery center recommended a Multivitamin (any over the counter vitimin; the ones at Walgreens are as small as an asprin) and a B complex Vitamin (but I have to cut that one in half).

I really like my Vitamins and calcium! I use Reviva liquid multivitamin (tastes like a liquid flintstones vitamin), and Reviva liquid Calcium with vit. D. The multivitamin also contains a fruit/veg complex and as much Fiber as an apple. I also take GNC omega-3 chews. I cannot recall if I get my vitamins and calcium at costco or BJs, but it's one or the other...

I take:

  • One-a-Day gummies (2 per serving) sours.
  • Citracel petites for Calcium and some D
  • An extra D capsule (because I'm allergic to the sun) - I also have sublinguals if I'm feeling too tight to take a capsule
  • Biotin sublingual
  • B12 sublingual
  • CoQ10 sublingual
  • Omega 3 and 6
  • Iron every 3-4 days
  • I'll start taking my Magnesium and zinc when I feel comfortable with the pill size.
  • Acidophilus (the good stuff in yogurt) because pill form is used better by the body than from yogurt (and I don't eat yogurt)

One of my specialist Drs (unrelated to WLS) suggested I stop extra C (causes kidney stones) and E (increases the probability to have a stroke) and as a vegetarian it would be unlikely I'd ever run low on either of those.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
