Nerves are getting the best of me.....

Recommended Posts

My nerves are raw.... Still awaiting insurance approval and I have a surgery date of Feb. 9... Supposed to start 2 wk liquid diet in 2 days and have anesthesia consult in a week....I want and need this sooo bad....BCBS is gonna make be crazy yet.

I've been reading a lot of post on here and I'm grateful there is support out there... But I think I'm reading too much..... I can't seem to focus on anything but this surgery now and it's keeping me from sleeping too!!!! Arrrggghhh...

Calgon, TAKE ME AWAY!!!!

In Canada the surgery isn't covered we have to pay the whole shot. Good luck!

I won't be able to fund it without insurance.... So I'm praying they come through for me!

I am in the same boat...waiting for insurance approval. I won't receive a surgery date without prior approval from my insurance company. It is so hard to have patience with something so important. I am praying we both hear today!

I can imagine how you feel. I would probably be feeling the same way. I'm praying that all goes well while you're waiting (can be nerve wrecking). But just try to stay positive and if you can try to distract yourself as much as you can. Wishing you the BEST!!!!!

Oh, I have a battle ahead of me too!! I'm currently waiting for the doctor's office to get off their butts and submit to my insurance for approval.... then, after they do that, I'll have to wait in aggony again for the approval! At least your just waiting on the insurance co. Have you called them to find out the status? I have BCBS Fed and they are really good!!

It only took me 4-5 days to hear from my insurance. I have BCBS in IL and my paper work was submitted on a Monday and Friday afternoon, I called BCBS and they told me they just approved it :) I would call if I were you!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
