Iphone users is there a good food journal app?

I'm gonna check it out.

I was using one, I forget the name, but it was giving all these things based on normal people. Not accounting that I had the band so that bothered me.

I use myfitnesspal. I have used sparkpeople, calorie count, and a couple of others and myfitnesspal seems to me the most accurate. Plus it has a lot of the food i use in the system. It also has a nifty bar code scanner that i can scan and add to my journal. You can access it online or on your phone. Very user friendly. Plus it keeps track of my weight and automatically updates the ticker below. I can print out reports and charts to take to my DR as well since mine is strict regarding "no diary = no fill". He wont fill me unless he knows i am following the nutritional and dietary requirements.

Online I use fatsecret.com which has an ap for my DROID phone so I would think there is one for the iPhone. My phone will synch to the online account and viceversa.

The coolest part about the Ap is that is has many national restaurant nutritional info in its data base and every food I have every looked up! It also has a bar code scanner so you dont even have to type!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
